The Birthday party

Peter's official party was Saturday. We had a small family party. Our dear friend Amy made peter's wonderful little football cake and cupcakes. Thanks Amy.
Yes, I know the chocolate icing is lovely on Peter.
He has eaten more sweets this past week than he has in his short little life.

Peter's 1st Brithday

If anyone had told me that this past year would have gone by in the blink of an eye, I would not have believed it. It has been an amazing year of happiness, frustration, and adjustment. Mostly happiness.

I think the biggest adjustment, of course, has been for Olivia. She has done very well and is turning out to be a wonderful big sister. The best part of my day is watching her and Peter play happily together.
Thank you to all our family and friends who have helped us make it thru the first very trying months of the past year.

Peter is a very sweet, easy going, and happy boy. He enjoys bopping to music, watching and playing with Olivia, and being able to now feed himself quite well. He has not begun to walk yet. He does posses an extremely quick crawl that works fine for him for the time being. At his 12 month check up Peter now weighs 21lbs 14.5 oz and is 28.5" long. He is in great heath and all his development is where it should be.

Next up, Olivia's 5th Birthday and registering her for kindergarden. I think that is even harder to believe.

Snow days part deux

Snow Days

As most of you know it is very unusual to have much snow in North Texas. Let alone over a foot in 24 hours. This is has never happened before in the Dallas area. So, needless to say, we went out and enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun. Especially since we don't normaly have to live with snow like this. In the last picture you will notice our Texas redneck sled. A rubbermaid bin with an extension cord attached by cable ties. Sliding down the driveway. Olivia thought it was great.
